Education  & Research

The department organises a variety of educational activities both in isolation and with other allied organisations including the University of Glasgow and the Glasgow Neuro Society.

This ranges from elective and SSC opportunities for undergraduate medical students to international conferences which involves lectures from the worlds leading neurosurgeons, many of whom have subsequently taken up honorary patronages with the Glasgow Neuro Society.

The department also has a clinical fellowship program which provides trainees with the opportunity to spend a year within the department and gain experience in a wide range of paediatric neurosurgical practice.

Our consultants also teach on a variety of courses ranging from local to international.

"Thank you for arranging a perfect visit. It was wonderfully organised and the program was outstanding. The meeting was one of the best neurosurgical meetings I have participated in. It brought together expertise over a wide range of subjects. Thank you again for such a wonderful visit."
